A flower seen from above, opening in the sun. An ivory sinamay crown at its heart, a fringe of crin petals floating around the face, and curved feather quills rising like stamens.
Every strand of the fringe is frayed by hand from crin, then cut and shaped into petals. The edge is finished by hand with invisible stitches in my studio in Bowral. Eleven hours of work, spread over four days, go into this hat.
Wear it with: black, white, ivory or a crisp monochrome. Worn on the right side, tilted forward over the right brow.
Made to order, in your colours and size. Please allow 2–4 weeks.
