Dandelion Clock
A dandelion gone to seed, in the moment before the wind takes it. A wide brim of sand sinamay, edged in pale blush around the crown, with a twist of sinamay sweeping across it and soft blush feathers bursting out like seeds about to fly.
The sinamay is stretched over a hat block by hand. The brim is finished by hand with invisible stitches in my studio in Bowral. Around 10 hours of work go into this hat.
Wear it with: blush, ivory, sage green or navy. Worn on the right side, tilted forward over the right brow.
For spring racing, Oaks Day, the Melbourne Cup, weddings and garden parties. Secured with a fine elastic.
